2023 Practice-A-Thon Fundraiser
What is the Practice-a-Thon?
It is the largest fundraiser of the year for CLES Music Boosters! During the month of March, students record their daily practice and ask friends and family to sponsor them.
When is it?
We hold the Practice-a-Thon during the entire month of March, which is Music in Our Schools month!
Who is it for?
For ALL CLES Choir, Orchestra, and Band students!
How do I participate?
This year it is easier than ever to participate! We are using the website RallyUp to collect and track all donations. Just share this link with friends and family and ask them to sponsor you. Sponsors can make a flat donation or a per minute donation. The RallyUp page will be active from March 1-March 31.

Students simply need to track their practice times for the month of March and enter the total amount at the end of March. If desired, a student can create his or her own donation page, but it is not required!

Last year we raised nearly $2,000. This year we hope to raise $5,000! We have 296 students participating in Band, Orchestra, and/or Choir, so if every student raises just $17 we can do this!!
Money raised by the CLES Music Boosters supports our music programs by providing sheet music, instruments, equipment, instrument repairs, accompanists, and classroom supplies. Donations also help offset the cost of field trips and provide support in numerous other ways.
50% of all money raised will be donated to Orch Kids!
OrchKids provides Baltimore youth with equitable access to community-based, high-quality music instruction and programming that teaches musical and social skills transferable to all areas of their lives. https://orchkids.org/

As the end of our Practice-a-Thon nears, please be sure to enter the total number of minutes your student(s) practiced during the month of March. It is necessary for the total minutes to be entered in order for RallyUp to process per minute pledges.

HOW DO I ENTER MY STUDENT'S MINUTES INTO THE RALLY UP WEBSITE?
Follow these directions in order to enter minutes practiced:
1) Log in. If you have not yet established a login you may do this now.
2) Click on the circle with your initials in the upper right corner.
3) Click on "My Account."
4) Click on "My Members." You should see your child(ren)'s names below.
5) Click on your child's name.
6) Click "Log Minutes" located directly below your child's name.
7) Click on "Enter Minutes."
8) In the pop up window, enter the total number of minutes practiced during the month of March and click Save.
Once this is complete you will be able to see your child's total practice minutes on his/her fundraising page.
